Dorian Eve Photography was formed in 2007 when photographers Malinda Lipe and Vickie Kennington partnered to cover a larger area of North Carolina.  In 2010, Dorian Eve Photography was expanded to cover the Oklahoma City area in Oklahoma as well.  Vickie covers the Triad, Lake Norman, and Charlotte areas in North Carolina.  Malinda now works in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

About Malinda:
“One of my favorite things about being a mom is having the chance to see the world through the eyes of my children. I love how they are fascinated by the simple things… splashing in a puddle, destroying a sand castle, catching a firefly. Capturing these moments is what originally lured me into photography, however, I have always been an artist. I discovered my love for painting and drawing in 7th grade. I knew from that moment on my career had to be a creative one. After college I settled into a job in graphic design. I started doing photography on the side in 2004. In 2007, with the support of my family, I decided to take a huge leap of faith and pursue photography full time. I sometimes feel strange calling photography a job since it can be so fun.

My style is carefree. I like to encourage kids to run around, dig in the dirt, stand on their head, act crazy and wild, whatever it is that brings out their true spirit. I just go with the flow. The perfect picture always comes at the most unpredictable times.”

Malinda is located in Yukon, OK and covers Oklahoma City, OK as well as the surrounding areas.

About Vickie:
“One of the most special things that I can remember about my grandfather was all of his pictures.  He would always have pictures to share and I was always excited to see what special memory he had captured each time.  My fascination with my grandfathers’ pictures turned into a hobby of mine as a teenager.  I would run around with my girlfriends wearing crazy outfits and we would have “photo shoots” all over town in some of the most unusual locations we could think of.  My hobby turned into a passion for me when I had my first child.  I realized then how important it was to me to capture every milestone and every special moment I had with him.  From his first tooth to his first steps.  I didn’t want to miss a moment of it.  I wanted to be able to keep those memories and cherish them forever.  I bought my first professional camera in December of 06 and have been capturing memories ever since.

My style is completely casual….what your child does when I am not around is what I want to be able to capture for you.  The way they look when they make that cute little expression or the new dance that they learned…these moments will not last forever.  I want to be able to capture every emotion that your child has….whether it is silly or serious.  Each time in your child’s life is a time that will only come once and I want to be able to make that moment last for years to come.”

Vickie is located in Lexington, NC and covers the Charlotte, Lake Norman, Triad area of NC and all of the surrounding areas.
